Business & Enterprise

70% of the local population live and work in Andover, so supporting local enterprise is important to the Vision. The town already hosts several large employers including Simply Health, Stannah, Twinings and the Army Headquarters, and is also home to a wide range of dynamic small to medium size businesses, as well as some exciting entrepreneurial activity such as Basepoint.

Strong 'business clusters' including engineering, food and drink, warehousing and distribution, and logistics have been identified. We want to build on these; encouraging new skills into the town to support business growth and create quality employment opportunities.

All of our main business park centres are only minutes away from the main roads and the railway station. And to make sure our accommodation matches our business bosses’ needs and ambitions, we’re already building for the future at our business parks

The town centre is not only at the centre of our town, it’s at the heart of our town too. It’s very important to most of us. It’s one of the things we get asked about again and again. And it’s the trickiest thing to solve, especially when times are tough.
